Goseong Unification Observation Tower
Goseong Unification Observation Tower was built by an army unit in 1983, It is the nearest place for viewing Geumgangsan Mountain in North Korea. From the observatory, visitors can see the Haegeumgang River and the islands nearby as well as get a glimpse of various peaks of Geumgangsan Mountain such as Ilchulbong Peak, Chaehabong Peak, and Oknyeobong Peak. Many monuments are built within the area in hopes of reunification.
Goseong DMZ Museum
The DMZ Museum was founded in honor of people's hope for unification of South Korea and North Korea. It is located at the northernmost area along the east coast near the civilization control line.The museum features exhibition halls arranged in a number of different themes that highlight the historical significance and the meaning of the DMZ, from the aftermath of war to its pristine ecosystem.
