UNTANGODO is korean words that have meaning with "the high trail that people used to move a coal".
The number goes back to UNTANGODO is 1330. 1330 also has its own meaning. 1330 is height of Manhangjae which is the highest spot in untangodo trail.
Untagodo Trail connects four cities (YEONGWOL, JEONGSEON, TAEBAEK, SAMCHEOK). Those 4 cities used to be famous for mines and coal business. Nowadays, as time goes by, these old coal mine does not operate anymore. So Gangwon province decided to use the road that people walk with carrying coal. This long path has been with korean history.
